Is your swimmer stuck on the same technique issues?
Our Stroke Masterclass gives 13–16 year old club swimmers something different: small groups of maximum 6, underwater video analysis, and direct feedback from Ruairidh Carnegie
Meet the coach
Ruairidh has coached swimmers from complete beginners right through to national level competitors. He's also a Scottish Swimming tutor — meaning he doesn't just coach swimmers, he trains other coaches too. If there's something in your swimmer's stroke holding them back, he'll identify it.
Small changes - Big improvements
In a busy club lane, your swimmer might be repeating the same technical habits every session — and nobody has the time to catch them.
These are the issues we see holding swimmers back most often:
Poor catch mechanics — losing power with every stroke
Inefficient kick rhythm — creating drag instead of propulsion
Rushed timing — working harder, going slower
Poor body alignment — fighting the water instead of moving through it
Inconsistent breathing — breaking rhythm and killing endurance
None of these are talent problems. They're technique problems — and technique is completely coachable.
focus on your stroke
Freestyle Workshop
9th April
Most freestyle swimmers lose power before they even complete their catch. We'll show you exactly where, and give you the drills to fix it.
Butterfly Workshop
10th April
Butterfly is hard - but it's usually a timing problem, not a fitness one. Fix the timing and the stroke becomes a lot more manageable
Breaststroke Workshop
11th April
Timing is everything in breaststroke. Get it wrong and you're fighting yourself every length. We'll help your swimmer find the rhythm that actually works for them.
what happens on the day
Every workshop is structured to give every swimmer maximum time in the water with individual analysis of their stroke
Each workshop includes:
Video Analysis: Each swimmer receives video from above and below the water.
Expert Coaching: Direct Technical input from Total Endurance coaches experienced in helping swimmers find what’s holding them back.
Action Plan: Everyone leaves with their own action plan with the steps needed to improve their stroke.

Yes, the drills given are specifically selected so they can start embedding the technical changes identified in the video review. Every swimmer will leave having already practised their corrections, not just been told about them.

We find swimmers tend to focus better without parents watching them, parents are welcome to come in when dropping off and collecting but not stay for the duration of the session.
-
There is a maximum of 6 swimmers per workshop, this small group allows for individual attention to be given to their stroke.
-
Cost is £100 per swimmer
